Baking is something that brings me pure joy and has easily become one of my favourite things to do. But if I had to pick one thing that allows me to express my creativity the most, are cakes. One of my favourite things when clients order is trusting in my ability to design and make a cake for their special occasion. Something I think is so special when making custom cakes is knowing that it will always be one of a kind and never duplicated.
How long have you been baking?I have been baking for 15+ years now. I have loved baking ever since I was a little girl, I took cake decorating lessons at my local craft store when I was 12. When I was 16, I slowly started taking cake orders for only close friends and family until I was confident enough to take orders from other clients. In 2020, I finally launched my cake business "Bakes by Nikki" on Instagram
What would you do with the $20,000?As a home/self taught baker, I would definitely invest the $20 000 into getting a commercial bakery space and eventually opening a store front. It has always been a dream of mine to one day open a bakery of my own.
