Connect What's your favorite thing to bake?

This is a tough question, as I do not have a single favourite thing to bake. However, one of my favourites would be baklava, or any dessert using phyllo pastry. The crispy textured dough soaked in aromatic syrups and paired with clotted cream is a wonderful combination. I also like to bake pies, cookies and of course, cakes!

How long have you been baking?

Cake boss was the start of my passion as a baker. I watched every episode with my father at the age of 12. It brings back very fond memories. Since then, I have been a baker. I started with making rainbow cupcakes out of box mix and evolved to making more complex cakes, and trying new interesting flavour combinations in different dessert forms since then.

What would you do with the $20,000?

I would use part of this to pursue my dream of enrolling in a pastry chef course in France. Learning culinary tips and tricks from some of the most talented pastry chefs in such a vibrant culinary environment would be a dream come true. I would also use the money to kickstart my dream of being an entrepreneur. My dream since I was 18 was to have my very own product on grocery store shelves one day. As an aspiring dietitian and professional baker, I believe I can make it happen.
