I started baking thinking that I would love making pastries and little confections. I even practiced macarons for years. As I’ve kept baking, I’ve realized I was given a very small helping of patience, so I don’t think pastries are really for me. But over the last couple of years, I’ve fallen in love with cake decorating. I just love how each cake feels like a new blank canvas. Decorating a cake is a great feeling, but the best feeling is eating that cake with loved ones.

I’ve baked for as long as I can remember. My best friends and I would dirty up whoever’s kitchen we were in—our specialty was mini banana muffins. But I started practicing my baking seriously in 2021. We surprised my family with my first cake— a gender reveal cake for my baby girl. Ever since then, I’ve just leaned into learning new recipes and techniques to make each cake better than the last.

Oh gosh, it’d be such a huge blessing that it’s hard for me to answer! The thing that I’ve loved most about running a home bakery is making those small, but meaningful, connections with people that I might not have crossed paths with otherwise. I’ve been catering desserts for weddings and events for a couple years and I’ve gotten to know so many amazing people. It’s my dream to invest in my small business and continue collaborating with my community.
