How to choose?! While sourdough has become my “bread & butter”, baking cakes was & still is my first true love. Though cakes are incredibly time intensive, I enjoy the process and creativity that goes into every step. I specialize in meringue-based buttercreams & using fresh flowers, fruit, chocolate, French macarons & herbs to decorate my cakes.
How long have you been baking?My parents would be the first to tell you I have loved baking from the start. I took an evening cake decorating course when I was in 7th grade - so, I’ve been “studying” my trade for 18 years. I made my first wedding cake when I was a senior in high school, competed & won Food Network’s Cake Wars my senior year of college, and started my home cottage bakery after having my third baby. Soli Deo Gloria.
What would you do with the $20,000?This competition goes beyond the money for me - though our family could really use a new mini van! Just having the chance to showcase my work, thank the man (Buddy) who inspired me to bake cakes, & be a light to others is priceless. If you’ve made it this far, I would so appreciate your vote!
