How long have you been baking?We have been together over 16 years in school and have truly become a family. With us now aging out of the public-school system at the age of 21, we wanted to keep our little family together. We truly believe that all individuals have a purpose in life, regardless of their abilities. In school, we all found a love for baking during our Life skills classes, where we became quite good at making all sort of treats, cupcakes being our specialty.
What would you do with the $10,000?We would use that money towards our goal of opening a cupcake café and be able to serve our customers in person. Operating under our nonprofit “A Special Place For Me “, our mission is to enrich and empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their highest potential through viable work and social opportunities.
