How long have you been baking?My love affair with baking began at 5yo, eagerly absorbing treasured family recipes at the heels of the incredible women in my family. Over my 10 year professional baking career I've peppered my role as an Exec Pastry chef with stints as a BQT cook, line cook, gelato specialist and even a charcutier, always on a mission to absorb every style and discipline I can get my hands on.
What would you do with the $10,000?Winning 10k in prize money would be a true blessing, enabling me to pay tribute to the community that nurtured me. With the prize I can further establish a gelato company that celebrates the truly intricate flavor culture of NJ. From the Caribbean flair of B-Line, spice blends of Indian Sq and the aroma of Portuguese pastries in the Newark air, my Gelato shop will set out honor the diversity and food history that makes me proud to be a Jersey Girl through and through.
